Like the other cars, the 12-volt battery system in Tesla vehicles powers the infotainment system, lights, airbags, windows, and more. Typical 12V batteries last about 3-4 years but the batteries of Tesla’s Model S and Model X have tendency to die rapidly compared to other vehicles.
Elon Musk also agrees that it could be better and he announces “Major Software Improvements” to fix this issue.
