Comparisons that involve a Tesla going up against an internal combustion vehicle never gets old, every day the internet is bombarded with videos of Tesla vehicles competing with a plethora of vehicles, from hatchbacks to SUVs to supercars. The main reason for this is that, Tesla’s products are extremely capable, the cumbersome Model X SUV can outrun a supercar in a straight line, while the Model S P100D luxury sedan is one of the quickest accelerating production cars on the planet and their baby Model 3 can put many sports sedans to shame.

The Tug Of War
People are getting quite creative with their comparisons, even though some of these are sort of absurd, some are quite interesting. The latest one was made a week ago, it is available on a YouTube channel called “The Zunigas“, it is an American channel. In this video, the creators seem to be conducting A Tug Of War match between a few high-end SUVs and a supercar. The cars will be attached to each other using a towing rope, and on the count of three the cars on each end will try to pull the other, the vehicle that gets dragged to shame by the other loses this challenge.
Lambo vs. the Mighty G63
The cars in question are, a Lamborghini Huracan EVO, Tesla Model X, Mercedes G63 AMG, and Range Rover. It is extremely impressive and not to mention the mind-blowingly expensive line-up of cars. First, the Huracan takes on the G63 AMG, the Lambo has 5.2 litre, naturally aspirated V10 that puts out a supercar worthy 630 bhp and 600 Nm of torque, while the G63 has 4 litre twin-turbocharged V8 that produces 577 bhp and 850 Nm of torque, which is just a hilarious amount of grunt for an SUV. The cars going to pull each other in reverse as the Huracan has a tow-hitch only in the front. The flag drops and the G63 manages to pull the Huracan towards it, sad news for the Italian supercar.
Petrol vs. Electric
Next up, is a more straightforward competition, the reigning champion, the G63 AMG goes u against the mighty Tesla Model X. This time the vehicles are attached rear-to-rear and are pulling away from each other, we might expect the Model X with its instant torque would totally destroy the Mighty Merc, but we couldn’t be more wrong, The Big G pulls the Model X without breaking a sweat, guess those two electric motors are no match for a ballistic V8. Finally, the Range Rover, in a final attempt to dethrone the Mercedes G63, tries its luck in Tug Of War, but again the German Tank was unstoppable.
Conclusion
This just shows to prove that old school combustion motors aren’t exactly going to be derelict item any time soon, the technology that has existed for more than a hundred years still has a lot to give. Besides, the engineers at the performance division of Mercedes, AMG, surely know to make one hell a car.
