Tesla keeps on expanding the lines of vehicle customization and convenience through its Spring Update 2025.14. One of the new Key highlights in this start is the New “Save Trunk Height Based on Location” options. Organized with all the user comfort and usability in mind, this modification gives intelligence to your Tesla’s way of interacting with its surroundings, beginning with how your trunk opens.
Smarter Trunk for a Smarter Drive
No two parking spots are alike, and Tesla drivers have long requested more control over how their vehicles adapt to varying garage heights, overhead obstacles, or carport configurations. The latest update from Tesla fulfills this need head-on by enabling users to save multiple trunk heights according to their location.
So your Tesla can automatically adjust the trunk height to the environment you are in—your home garage with a low ceiling, the tightest of apartment parking spots, or the wide open parking lot of your local shopping mall.
Tesla offers two simple ways for drivers to set the preferred trunk height from Tesla.
Manual Adjustment with Button Hold
Simply open the trunk and manually raise or lower the trunk to your desired height. Once it’s in place, press and hold the trunk’s close button until you hear a confirmatory chime. This saves the height setting.
New power trunk UI allows you to save your trunk height at different locations.

Touchscreen Interface: Pause and Save
In addition, you can use the vehicle’s touch screen to operate the trunk height. If the trunk is opened, tap on the screen to stop it where you prefer it to be. PF Enabler with global profiles can then pause, with an on-screen prompt allowing you to save this setting straight through the UI.
Digging through settings is a simple process and gives Tesla owners the ease of mind to modify the behaviour of the opening of their trunk to suit the environment that they are in.

Adaptive Matrix Headlights
Vehicles with matrix LED headlights also come equipped with adaptive high beams. This technology alters the beam pattern to improve visibility to the driver without shining in the eyes of oncoming traffic. Although popular in Europe, this feature went legal in the U.S. in 2022 and is now being turned on in Tesla cars via this upgrade.
Improved Dashcam and Sentry Mode
Sentry Mode and Dashcam capabilities have been improved by the addition of B-pillar side camera recordings, making a total of six recording cameras. The Dashcam Viewer app also got a grid view addition, allowing easier viewing of the recorded clips. These features are on vehicles equipped with AMD-based infotainment.
Comfort Drive Mode in Autopilot
A new “Comfort” setting within Autopilot provides a more comfortable ride by applying acceleration and braking curves to ensure passenger comfort during the Autopilot mode.
- Lane Departure Avoidance: Improvements to this feature offer greater support in staying in line.
- Keyboard Language Support: Additional language choices for the on-screen keyboard reach out to a more worldwide of users.
- Access control power ON: The ability to keep power to accessories when the vehicle is on standby, and is useful for work such as camping.
- Camera App: A new application allowing users to view live feeds from the vehicle’s cameras directly on the infotainment screen.
