Tesla Spring Update 2025 (2025.14)

Here are the most enthralling updates implemented in version 2025.14.

Adaptive Matrix High Beams for North America

The Spring Update features highly anticipated – Adaptive Matrix High Beams in the USA and Canada. This element was first applied in the European region while experiencing the North American region delays because of the legal issues. These advanced headlights function as a camera that controls LEDs pixel by pixel to prevent blinding effects on the upcoming vehicle thus enhancing the safety of the driver during night darkness.

Currently, this feature is supported across all those cars that have Matrix headlights; Tesla Model S, Model 3, Model X, and Model Y released in the recent past. However, this change will not come to the Cybertruck since it has a different arrangement of less widespread headlamps.

Enhanced Blind Spot Camera for Model S and X

Tesla is also improving the Blind Spot Camera on the Model S and Model X produced after 2021. Drivers can now opt to have the camera view displayed on the digital driver’s instrument cluster screen perfectly instead of the mid-screen. This change also makes the feed visible and enhances security since it will be within the driver’s peripheral vision range.

Dashcam & Sentry Mode Upgrade with B-Pillar Cameras

There is some good news for the very first owners: the externally requested feature is connected with the B-pillar cameras. Tesla is extending Dashcam and Sentry Mode to use these side-facing cameras mounted on the pillars of the car above the wheels. This offers better security to the structures especially from vandals as compared to the previous ones.

As with all things, you should understand that this feature requires Tesla’s AI4 hardware; as such, limiting to mostly the latest models.

Improved Dashcam Viewer

The other component that receives a facelift is the Dashcam Viewer that is installed in the vehicle. More cameras are now possible to view simultaneously with the facility to zoom on one of those viewed feeds. There is a change in the layout where the camera choices are displayed at the base of the application and one can skip forward or backward in 15-second intervals. The movement from one clip to the other is also made fairly easy.

Smarter Navigation — Avoid Highways, More Options

The new update has brought three new features in routing as follows:

  1. Fastest: Implements a high-speed charging service regardless of the engine’s charging frequency.
  2. Fewer Stops & Better Facilities: Longer hours of journey but comes with better meals and shopping stops.
  3. Preferred Routes: Another much-needed mode that could be used to suggest scenic or least stressful routes for drivers.

These improve upon the trip flexibility factors and must be on most contemporary Tesla cars but may not apply to the older model variants specifically, Model S/X.

Location-Based Trunk Height Memory

Feature update, albeit quite useful: it would appear that Tesla cars are capable of storing trunk opening height per geo-location. A special parking mode designed for low-height facilities is included with all Model Y, and Model 3 with the frunk, and all Model S and X models refreshed this year. In the Cybertruck, it is also still fitted with a location-aware frunk height memory.

Accessory Power Mode

Tesla is offering owners a little more freedom with the latest addition of the “Accessory Power” option. This allows users to maintain the use of 12V sockets, USB connections, and wireless chargers even when the car is switched off. It’s advisable for those who use extra equipment or charging devices while being parked. The device will also be capable of shutting at 20% battery charge.

Cybertruck Gets Comfort Mode and Lane Departure Avoidance

Tesla is making adjustments as to the driving characteristics of its Cybertruck via Comfort Mode when it is being used with FSD or TACC. It decreases suspension stiffness, reduces the rate of acceleration, and enhances the steadiness of steering. Part of Tesla’s safety features, Lane Departure Avoidance also delivers visual and tactile cues to the driver and can give haptic assistance with the truck’s steering wheel if needed.
Small Enhancements

Other minor updates include:

  • Support for new keyboard languages.
  • Improved media search filtering.
  • The ability to shuffle the Apple Music playlists of more than 100 songs.
  • New Amazon Music Free support.
  • SiriusXM favorites moving on with the help of a knurl-less steering wheel.
  • Automatic hotspot reconnection for frequent users.

Rollout Timeline

Tesla is currently testing the update for its employees and aims to make it available to the general public within a week should they not encounter any problems. The latest version available now is 2025.14 and the distribution of this version may be sent to the general public once the internal testing is over.

With regards to safety, significant progress was made, while the trip planner and various improvements of quality of life changes point towards Tesla as focused on innovation in the 2025 Spring Update. Keep yourself informed as it is expected to roll out to all the vehicles over the next few weeks.
