Tesla has made this retrofit available for Model Y vehicles produced between January 24, 2022, and October 1, 2023. Post-purchase, Tesla will verify the compatibility of the retrofit with the customer’s vehicle model.
For daily maintenance, Tesla recommends gently wiping the ambient lighting with a damp cloth without the use of detergents to avoid any potential damage. Furthermore, once installed, the service cannot be cancelled or refunded, underlining the commitment required when opting for this upgrade.
