The job of the team at Unplugged Performance is to take an ordinary Teslas and transform them into machines capable of ballistic performance. They did the same with Tesla Model 3, Unplugged Performance Model 3 broke a record of Laguna Seca racetrack set by Tesla Model S plaid prototype. The previous record by Model S plaid prototype was 1:36.555 and the new record set by Model 3 is 1:35.79.
*~ Some personal news ~*
We lapped Laguna Seca @WeatherTechRcwy in 1:36.555 during advanced R&D testing of our Model S Plaid powertrain and chassis prototype

This is what CEO of Unplugged Performance Ben Schaffer was told about their stop at Laguna Seca: “Our expectations at Laguna Seca were simply to validate the car with Randy and to make sure we are safely dialed in for Pikes Peak. It definitely shocked us all when we beat the lap time of the mighty Plaid Model S prototype in our Model 3. The crazy thing is that we still have a lot of additional modifications being prepared and we’ve not come near the car’s full potential with our upgrades yet!”.
Laguna Seca sunset celebrations. What’s faster than plaid!? Unplugged Performance today set the record at Laguna Seca for fastest EV ever (broke the Tesla Plaid Model S prototype record). Our Model Y is now the fastest SUV as well.
