Tesla Model S Plaid is the quickest car in production right now. This is the first time any production car break 2 seconds 0-60 mph barrier. Right now many automotive companies are struggling to match up with Tesla’s performance. No doubt Tesla is far ahead of any other automakers in terms of performance and technology. Ford has come up with a purely performance-focused 1400HP electric Mustang. But still, it is difficult for Ford to beat Model S Plaid even with their 1400HP Mustang because of the efficiency which Model S Plaid offers.

Now, let’s talk about the video and possible competitors of Model S Plaid. It’s funny but insanely fast 4WD RC car actually beats Tesla in a 0-60 mph drag (kind of) race. We all know that electric cars usually have instant torque. So, compared to gasoline cars and that’s why they can do 0-60 mph faster than gasoline cars. Fonzie from Dip Your Car channel is actually able to go from 0 to 60 mph with his Tesla in just 2.26 seconds. But, here the problem is the weight of the car. Teslas are obviously heavy-weight vehicles because of the weight of battery packs so they can stay stable while doing these crazy accelerations.
ARRMA Infraction RC vs Tesla Model S Plaid
Powerful RC cars on the other side, because of the insane speed they cannot stay stable due to high torque and less weight. The RC car which they use in the video is ARRMA Infraction. This RC car can go 0 to 60 mph in just 1.83 seconds with 6 cells. The one which is used in the video is of 8 cells so it can do the same in just 1.65 seconds. In the drag race, during the first and second time, the RC went off the track due to insane speed. The third time they give Tesla a little head start and somehow they managed to stay RC on the track. It’s fun to watch that little RC car can actually beat Tesla 0-60 mph race.
Our Thoughts
Obviously, this video is just for entertainment and fun purpose because it’s not fair to compare an RC car with an actual car. As we mentioned, it is hard to beat Tesla Model S Plaid unless if any company tweaks the engine of a car specially for race. In the future, we would be able to see Tesla competitors, but now Tesla is ahead of its competition.
