Benz intends to produce ten EQ series models by the end of 2022. The plug-in electric vehicle series will be Mercedes’ proprietary electric vehicle series and all the vehicles will be full-electric vehicles. This series will certainly help Mercedes gain a foothold in the electric vehicle industry. Such big players entering the electric vehicle market means that the days of gas-guzzling luxury vehicles are over. These luxury vehicles have a huge carbon footprint and cause a lot of harm to the planet.

EQC was the first vehicle in the series. However, Mercedes built this vehicle on the GLC platform that was not meant for BEVs. Therefore, there are some features of an Internal Combustion Engine(ICE) in the EQC. The EQC debuted in 2019 and has been on sale since.
