Tesla finally broke the seal on the deliveries of the most-awaited Model S Plaid yesterday in a special delivery event at the Fremont facility in California. With the Model S Plaid+ cancelled, this vehicle bridges the gap between the Model S Long Range and the upcoming Tesla Roadster. It is also the quickest production vehicle ever produced till now. As part of the delivery event, some of the people got to drive their vehicles around the specialized testing circuit near the event.
I just went 0-60 MPH in about 2 seconds and 0-100 MPH in about 4 seconds with 4 people in the car 🤯 @Tesla just broke the laws of physics my friends 😂 I’m sorry but that’s truly alien. Thanks for the fun @elonmusk pic.twitter.com/2J95Ot9TO9

Model S Plaid Interior – The Biggest Design Refresh
Ever since Tesla announced the design refresh for the Model S and Model X, there have been small bits of news and information trickling in every now and then. We first got the news about the stalkless steering yoke. In an attempt to make the Plaid look futuristic, Tesla removed the stalks off the steering and changed its shape to look like a yoke. While many Tesla fans went crazy for this new design, there were doubts regarding the use of this kind of steering system. CEO Elon Musk, however, clarified that once you get a feel of the yoke, you can easily get used to it. Furthermore, according to Musk, the future won’t require people to actually drive their vehicles, with the full self-driving program in the development phase currently.
The other big change was the infotainment system. Model S is an older vehicle than the affordable vehicles on Tesla’s roster, and it had the main touchscreen in portrait mode. However, for the 2021 design refresh, Tesla has changed it to landscape mode. And the biggest reason for that is the utility of the touchscreen. With AMD confirming that Model S and X will have Playstation 5-level of computing power, passengers can actually use the touchscreen for high-quality video content streaming as well as for playing high-load video games.
You can actually play Cyberpunk 2077 in a Tesla Model S. That's insane 🤯 @elonmusk pic.twitter.com/Q0Huf0nm0z

Other Interior Updates
Tesla has also redesigned the second row which allows for extra headroom and legroom. There are charging ports for your mobile phones and laptops. The system can also connect to multiple Bluetooth devices at the same time. So a person sitting in the front can connect a video game controller for some game time, while a person sitting in the back can connect his/her mobile phone for streaming music simultaneously.

Furthermore, you can also set the air conditioning in your most comfortable setting, with hidden vents that almost make you feel like it is an “invisible air conditioning” system. The sound system consists of 22 speakers designed by Tesla Audio and the Acoustic Glass all over the cabin ensures very good noise isolation.
Our Opinion
The interior updates are the biggest change in this refreshed design of the Model S. And the Plaid is expected to defy all expectations of any production vehicle ever. PS5-level computing power, amazing video quality and a great sound system, this vehicle has everything from an entertainment point of view.
